Charity Softball Bracket

My roommate, Robert Orth, planned his second annual softball tournament to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year he approached me to do some of the designs for him. One of the projects he put me on was the creation of the bracket. "I want it to look sweet," was all he told me. I decided to name one side of the bracket the CFF bracket and the other side the LVC Student Government--the sponsor of the tournament--and to color them accordingly. The bracket was printed out for use on the day of the tourney and was given to the winners as a prize, along with their trophies and t-shirts.

Ms. Kreider Poster

This could technically be considered my first foray into the world of graphic design. A graduation present for my sister, a school teacher, I wanted to create a poster that she could proudly display in her classroom as a way for her students to connect with her. She ended up hanging it in her house because she doesn't want anything to happen to it. Everything on this poster was drawn by hand and colored and composed in Photoshop.

Award Certificate

A teacher's assistant for Project Foward Leap's summer course at my alma matter asked me to come up with something fun for her students. I started with the PFL logo and decided to base my color scheme off of that. For the font I chose simple and crisp letters for the "business" text and decided to use a handful of different fonts for the "fun" text. Hopefully the kids will recognize some of the fonts--Family Guy, Back to the Future. Using some dingbats I filled the idea bubble with some things that would make a good basis for a creative writing sample.
